It's a Holy Shit moment when you realize that 20 years ago, Nirvana released its second album called Nevermind.
It's interesting to note that Curt Cobain, in the lead-up to this undertaking, was listening to bands like R.E.M., Pixies and The Smithereens as a way out of the Seattle grunge scene.
"Nevermind" was the results of that influence, an album that changed a scene. And the first single, "Smells Like Teen Spirit," knocked Michal Jackson's "Dangerous" out of the No. 1 slot on the U.S. Billboard Charts.
Where did inspiration like this go?
Anyway, Nirvana's "Nevermind." Your Video Friday:
"Lithium"
"In Bloom"
"Polly"
"Come As You Are"
"Drain You"
"Territorial Pissings"
"Breed"
"On A Plain"

"Stay Away"

When listing Nirvana's main influences (Pixies, etc) people always forget the massive influence The Beatles music, especially that of Lennon and Harrison, had on their music. "Something In The Way"?
Hello?!?!
Nevermind remains a fantastic listen. Thanks for posting these, Mr. Thom. How's the new job? Any problems working for "the man"?
