For what seems like a very long time, I've been on the hunt for new music that hits me as hard as something sung by The Clash, or Television or Replacements. Many a good folk have given me recommendations and while I appreciate their efforts, I'm at a loss to see why their suggestions don't wow me.
No, I do not like The Arcade Fire. Fucked Up? It's not growing on me.
But I do (kinda) like Yuck. The band is from London and released its debut album this year.
I would guess I like them, since they sound like Dinosaur Jr. and Sonic Youth, two of my favorite bands.
I'm still looking for new music (all the while hoping the new Van Halen is as good as everyone says it it), but your Video Friday is Yuck:

Thanks for the Yuck videos. I might have to check out more of them. I did think the third song sounded a little like Arcade Fire (in spite of your saying you don't like Arcade Fire) but they were different enough. I'm always looking for new sounds, too.
