And when I say women of Rockabilly, I mean Wanda Jackson and Imelda May. I got the chance to see both women in concert this week, and man what a show.
Jackson, 73, started off in country, met and dated a guy named Elvis and at his suggestion, started singing rock. She's played with Poison Ivy and Lux Interior of The Cramps, and Jack White resurrected her career with this year's "The Party Ain't Over." She has an amazing show presence and I hope I'm doing what I love when I'm 73.
May, 37, is a native of Dublin, Ireland. Big voice, pinup looks, what's not to love?
