Uncle E has a great treatise on the state of newspapers – and why those in the business seem to be sticking around (if they can in an era of layoffs, pay cuts and unpaid furloughs).
It’s been a topic of great discussion recently, even by those who have been in the business a very long time and are somewhat insulated from the troubles.
Everyone, it seems, what’s to know what the next big thing is. And they want to know if they can fit into that new news platform. And still make a decent living.
We’re being squeezed. I think it turns around. I think good reporting and great storytelling never goes out of vogue. But, hey, I’m an optimist.
So anyway, for all the journalists out there, your Video Friday, Squeeze:
"Black Coffee in Bed"
"Another Nail in my Heart"
"Cool for Cats"
"Annie Get Your Gun"

Boy, wish I'd made this musical connection, it's perfect! It's tough, but it's all most of us know so we fight. And journalists, most of who do it because they have a built in obligation to do it, are freakin' rocks.
Good timing on the Squeeze thing as well; been listening to the deluxe version of Argy Bargy and it still sounds fantastic!
