I'm beginning to think it doesn't make much difference to send emails of complaint to corporations.
Sirius Satellite Radio very recently put 24 hours a day AC/DC on the Punk Channel. Now, I like a little AC/DC now and again, but not 24 hours a day. I'd rather get that concentrated dose of punk - Dead Kennedys, Dead Boys, Stooges, Social Distortion, Black Flag, NOFX - all in one place.
I wrote to complain.
(Actually, I should say my 79-year-old father wrote to complain; it is his account, which I have the passwords for.)
"Thanks for your recent correspondence with Sirius. We're replacing the Punk Channel temporarily with AC/DC in advance of their new release. You might try listening to The Faction, or The Garage, which sometimes plays those great punk artists like Green Day and Slipknot."
Uhg.
In protest, your Video Friday, all punk:
Dead Boys, "Sonic Reducer"
Dead Kennedys, "Nazi Punks Fuck Off"
Vandals, "People That are Going to Hell"
Angry Samoans, "Lights Out"
Social Distortion, "Mommy's Little Monster"

Green Day?!?! Slip-freakin'-knot!?!? Who's runnin' the satellite radio companies nowadays, a 12 year old?
Thom, we rely on you to educate the masses on what good and true punk rock was/ is.
BTW, I actually brought your CD's to work...it's a start! It'll be like Christmas when you finally get them!
I'm a lame ass...
I am certain that Slipknot would get their panties in a wad if they knew they were being categorized as "punk" by Sirius radio.
