Video Friday goes punk

I asked Mr. Music Know-It-All TheRobRogers (and no, I don’t say that facetiously; I trust his musical taste and opinion) what was the worst song ever recorded.
“I dunno, ‘Muscrat Love?’”he said.
Wow. Yeah, that’s the epitome of bad.

But in the here-and-now, the correct answer is Live’s “Lightning Crashes.”
For some reason, the good folks at Sirius (Alt Nation channel) have put the song back into its heavy rotation.
So what happens is, you listen to Alt Nation enough, and one line of the lyric gets locked into your short-term memory.
“Her placenta falls to the floor.”
Gross.
I don’t like songs about placentas. No, I surely don’t.
But there it is, in your brain, for hours.

What my brain (and maybe yours) needs is a good cleansing.

On Monday, Sirius will dump The Who channel (channel 29 for those scoring at home) and go with an all-punk format.
I say fuckin' A.

So in honor of this move, I give you Richard Hell and the Voidoids doing “Blank Generation” and “Love Comes in Spurts” (from CBGB’s circa 1977; the comments in-between songs are cool, too):
